I would like to set up my own server domain using my registered domain name with web site with public IP adress pointing to this domain, visible on the internet, internet accesible FTP server and own Email server accesible from outside, using the above software, and all going to -using the same domain name e.g. email@mydomain.com, www.mydomain.com etc. I have multiple public IP's availabe to me, T1 line etc. All I am administering right now is Enterprise 2003 server in Remote Desktop Clients environment with local and hardware VPN clients running applications, utilizing other company's public ISP services for above. Software available, 5+ copies Standard server 2003, 2 copies Enterprise server 2003, 4 copies SBS 2003, 1 copy Exchange Server 2003 Machines available to install on "Unlimited" 10+ high end severs Current structure Hardware Firewall - WAN + VPN to my other 2 sites Harware firewalls and Hardware specific software VPN clients Internal Network Independent Fax server 2003 Enterprise server/domain controller with up to 25 Remote Desktop Client sessions Need, Internal Web site , Internal Email, Own server External Web site/ woudl like to stay on windows platform (any apache/linux user would call me crazy), Own External Email Exchange, Own external FTP site Is there any "step by step cookbook manual or article approach to cut trought to the point get this done available to me as oppose to comprehensive process of learning all myself trough reading all related info from microsoft technical documentation and additional textbook/manuals info and trial error actual setup process? Maybe a hard word but FORGET THIS, without reading, testing and learning you will not find a complex description to achieve this all together. And be sure this is NOT wasted time, this is the basic of administering a complex system. If you don't like it then use Office365, which is cheap and achieves all and more what you like, webservices, mail services, communication services and even office included. If you use a mail server you should have an SMTP gateway in a DMZ for example and NOT the mail server connected to the internet. Also a hosted webserver prevents yourself from building a complex security environment to safe this machine from being compromised from the internet.
