Setting up an Azure site to site (On prem to Azure) VPN in the UK Using Sky

Hi,

Im in the UK and have Sky broadband with a standard ADSL modem, which doesn't support protocol 51. I would like to know if anyone has setup an Azure site to site VPN using a standard residential sky connection? If so, how?

Before I go out and buy the kit, I just want to check what I'm attempting is technically possible...

Thanks

Hello,

Greetings!

Thank you for posting your query here. With regards to your query, Site to Site VPN require an external IP address of the edge device that you are using in your on premise. Also you would need to check the compatible VPN devices with Azure before configuring Site to Site VPN and also  i hope protocol 51 support IPSEC .

Hope this helps!
Best Regards

Thanks Kamal,

I already have that link and am aware of the edge device. My question is specifically for SKY residential customers in the UK - I'd like to know if anyone has tried what I'm attempting?

SKy's own routers do not support protocol 51, so I'd like to know if anyone has done this by either placing the Sky router in a pass through mode (I know the VPN device should be directly connected, although it might work in a NAT scenario) or configuring the VPN device to connect to Sky directly
