I've got multiple Windows 2008R2 servers where in the System log, there are Event ID's 7036 - The Windows Error Reporting service entered the stopped state. The Windows Error Reporting service entered the running state. This happens every 2 minutes... I don't think this is normal. Thanks, Brian

Hi, The default startup type of the Windows Error Reporting Service is Manual. It is launched when application faults, kernel faults, unresponsive applications, and other application specific problems. Two minutes after the service is started, it will be stopped automatically. As a result, a possible cause is that some application crashes on the server. Please confirm if you receive any error reporting dialog. If not, you may also check the Problem Reporting Settings.
