Service Control Manager Event Id: 7031
I recently Upgraded my Jobs Server which is 2003 based. It recently experienced the exact same thing that the old server was experiencing, which was crashing after so many intervals. The Service Control Manager Pops up with this information." The MVC Data Engine Service Terminated unexpectedly. It has done this (1) times. The Following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action. The Service Control Manager has an Event Id = 7031. Can someone help me Identify what is the problem. I have made changes to the server adapters to help improve the networking. Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot the server crashes???

Hi, Thanks for the post. From your description, I understand that the event error 7031 stating “The MVC Data Engine Service Terminated unexpectedly. It has done this (1) times. The Following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action” is received. Now would you please explain the MVC Data Engine Service to me in detail? In this case, please check if this issue occurs in Clean Boot Mode. Clean Boot =============Let's disable all startup items and third party services when booting. This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading program or service. Please perform the following steps: 1. Click "Start", go to "Run", and type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks) in the open box to start the System Configuration Utility. 2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray). 3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK". 4. Click "OK" to restart your computer to Selective Startup environment. 5. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK.6. Check whether or not the issue still appears in this environment. Note: Temporarily disabling the Startup Group only prevents the startup programs from loading at startup. This shouldn't affect the system or other programs. We may still manually run these programs later. Meanwhile, please collect the MPSReport from the problematic server. 1. Download proper MPS Report tool from the website below. Microsoft Product Support Reports http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=CEBF3C7C-7CA5-408F-88B7-F9C79B7306C0&displaylang=en 2. Double-click to run it, if requirement is not met, please follow the wizard to download and install them. After that, click Next, when the "Select the diagnostics you want to run" page appears, select "General", click Next. 3. After collecting all log files, choose "Save the results", choose a folder to save <Computername>MPSReports.cab file. For your convenience, I have created a workspace for you. You can upload the information files to the following link. (Please choose "Send Files to Microsoft") Workspace URL: (https://sftasia.one.microsoft.com/choosetransfer.aspx?key=0458e9c7-c867-4221-bd92-5ca2edf4f376) Password: jd409{_EjX2#dD Note: Due to differences in text formatting with various email clients, the workspace link above may appear to be broken. Thank you for lending me some help. I am dealing with two servers that deal with dynamic automation. I have the sampling intervals set for every 30 seconds for one of the applications to perform its calculations. After thousands of intervals have passed, the main server crashes with an MVCCON~EXE error. I think that it may be caused by an replication error between the two servers. I am not sure, but the MSSQL Servers configurations were a little different when I first started checking the setup. I have, to the best of my knowledge, tried to optimize both server connections. I will perform the task that you also recommended once I go back to work. Thanks.
