Server reboot itself
We have a windows 2008 server. It is a SQL server production box. It was unexpected shutdown and restart itself. I got the unexpected shutdown error in windows log, no other message was told.
Subject: An Error event, ID 6008, from logfile System has occurred 1 times on computer mycomputername.
Over the previous interval, there were 1 occurrences of the following event.
Logfile: System
Event Type: Error
Event ID: 6008
Computer: mycomputer.mydomain.
Source: EventLog
Text:
The previous system shutdown at 5:43:35 PM on 12/25/2011 was unexpected.
This happened also on Dec 9th, this means it happens twice in a month.
I also checked in HP integrated management log, it only tells me below:
Operating system failure bug check, stop: 0X000000050(0XFFFFFA800D519000,0x0000000000000000,0xFFFFF800018ACEBE,0X0000000000000000))
Not sure what this means, and I cannot find any additional information.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks.SQLFriend

Here's more info on 0x50 bug check. Trouble shooting stop errors is really outside of scope of forums. May need to start a support incident with Microsoft

Thank you, this is helpful.
But I think this is a common issue, there should be more specific solution about this. I just cannot find by searching on internet.
Any one has resolved issue like this, can you share?
Also by reading above link, I understand it could be a RAM issue for bug 0X50?
Thanks

check %systemroot%\minidump\ for memory dump files. Also, check for %systemroot%\memory.dmp
The 0x50 error is common, but isn't helpful. Most likely the system tried to access memory at an invalid address. The why is what is important and there are tools available to assist in your investigation. I recommend you make these
crash dumps available for us to look at and review the following webcast:
