Server Time Incorrect
I have a Win2003 domain with 5 Win2003 servers. The DC sync's time with an outside source and 4 of the 5 servers have the corrent time. One server does not. It did not make the chance to daylight time and is one hour too early. How can get this server to sync with the DC?

Hello, Configure only the DC with the PDCEmulator to the external time source: w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:PEERS /syncfromflags:manual /reliable:yes /update With "PEERS" you can set the time source, either DNS name (time.windows.com) or an ip address from a reliable time source. Here you can find some of them:http://www.pool.ntp.org/ -------------------------------------------------------------------To reconfigure all other DCs and computers for automatic domain time synchronization w32tm /config /syncfromflags:domhier /update After that run:net stop w32timenet start w32time -------------------------------------------------------------------Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Do you have any W32tm or time realated errors listed on that server? That server should sync the time your PDCE. Here is a good TechNet article about Time Service: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc773013(WS.10).aspx Here is a good trobleshooting guide: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727060.aspx Santhosh Sivarajan | MCTS, MCSE (W2K3/W2K/NT4), MCSA (W2K3/W2K/MSG), CCNA, Network+ Houston, TX http://blogs.sivarajan.com/ http://publications.sivarajan.com/ This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
