Server Problems
I have a dell Inspiron I bought in 2010.I am trying to access data files from a FTP server and have having difficulties that are keeping me from doing this.I read/follow the instructions .Here are the sequence of steps:(A) I cut the computer on(B) Message reads;Server Busy; This action can't be completed because the other program(what program?)is busy."Choose switch" to activate the busy program and correct the problem.I do as instructed, yet I get the same message over and over again, each time I cut the laptop on.(C) This server problem involves a online drop ship company IFS,inc. They employ a FTP server and i'm having difficulty accessing the information in the data files. The instructions are:Access the FTP Server using only "Internet Explorer"browser as instructed.(D)Click on "Data Files".A sub-folder containing "Non-Fulfillment Program Inventory"opens up to another program(Inventory.csv).(E) Click enter.Nothing happens even after waiting longer than 30 mintues. Then I finally click the"x"in the upper right corner of the screen.Another small window opens and instructs me to(F) Go back to FTP serverIFSb2b.com and click enter.(G)A message from Microsoft Excel appers and say:Microsoft Excel cannot access the file"FTP://IFSb2b.com/data files/non-fulfillment program.csv.It continues:there are several possible reasons:(1)The file name or path doesn't exist or the file you're trying to open is being used by another program.(2)Close the document in the other program and try again or(3)The name of the work book you're trying to save is the same is the same as the name of another that is "read only".Try saving the work book with a different name. NOTE:there areseperate URLs I'm using: (1) ftp://ifsb2b.com/ and (2)www.ifsb2b.com They both use different log-in and password codes. Can any one help find a soultion these problems I'm having? thanks, Mike B.
