Server Monitoring

HI all ,

Can you please tell me how to monitor in scom if any servers disconnected form domain controller.

Hi

Could you clarify what you mean by "servers disconnected from Domain Controller". Servers don't have permanent connections to Domain Controllers so what precisely are you looking for?

You might want to ask this question on the AD forum - once we know what to look for in SCOM we can assist.

Servers disconnected means the servers dis joined from the Domain

Hi

You might still want to ask on the AD forum to get someone with AD expertise to provide the Events ID's to look for.

An alert rule based on windows events as per the following might work:

http://www.chicagotech.net/server/logondomain1.htm

You could do a monitor but then we'd need to know a healthy event id instead (or rely on timed \ manual reset monitors which I try to avoid).
