Server Manager 2012 is not starting.

When starting server manager in server 2012, I getting below message. Can not start server manager from any command. If you press Yes on the screen it shows the solution for windows 7. I tried that one but did not work. Can any body help me to solve this problem.

I am getting this too. For me, the "information" link you referred to in your post directs me to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2715633, regarding "Shim Errors for .Net Framework" and is not very helpful because it doesn't refer to Windows 2012 (which is what I am using) and since this is preventing me from opening server manager I am not able to use the GUI to access Programs & Features. I can remotely access it from another server and am working on it from there. I am trying to tackle the problem from there.

I experienced this problem and was able to resolve it by doing the following.

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727>Ldr64.exe query

The above command returned a current status of: 0x00000000 meaning .net was set to run in 32bit.  I then ran the following:

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727>Ldr64.exe set64

loading kernel32...done.
retrieved GetComPlusPackageInstallStatus entry point
retrieved SetComPlusPackageInstallStatus entry point
Setting status to: 0x00000001
SUCCESS

Once 64bit was enabled Server Manager began working again.
