I was routinely trying to upgrade disks on Server 2K3 from basic to dynamic, but it does not work. I go through the steps and nothing happens. No errors, but no change. I even tried it from SAFE MODE. Nothing. Suggestions please!

Thank you for responding, but those references did only give "how to". You are not addressing my problem.I have donedisk conversion/upgradesmany times, but this time, it did not do anything. Yes, it asked to verify which disk ("0' or "1" in my case since I have two) and I checked both. I tried only checking one. No change. No error message. Nothing.

Hi TBear990,Thank you for posting in windows server forums,I have seen in my experience that not all the disks can be converted into dynamic disks, second , if you are trying on a cluster servers then you cannot create a shared storage system.

So what do you need to know?Win2K3 SP2 (x86), 500 GB SATA drives (WD5000SSKS), MSI MB, dual processer.I want to mirror drives for storage.
