I'm running Server 2012 R2 Essentials as a virtual machine in Hyper-V. The host is Server 2012 R2. Installing System Center Endpoint Protection works fine on the host, but not on the guest (installer says current OS not supported). Can anyone tell me why?

I don't quite follow... The present version of Essentials is just an "add on" to Windows Server 2012 R2, meaning it's still a standard version of the OS. Therefore it should be supported, right?

Okay, if this (for some reason) really don't work... Any suggestions for a working protection?
