Server 2008 sbs random reboots
We have a Dell server PER710. Following specs: Dual E5504. 8GB RAM. We are running Windows Server 2008 SBS. The server seems to be rebooting without cause about once a week. The time is never the same although it seems to happen sometime between Friday and Sunday every week. We see nothing in the event log that would be a cause. We also have set the system up to take a screen shot before shutdown however no screenshot was taken. It seems the shutdowns are sudden and unexpected. My guess is this issue is hardware related, perhaps the power supply although the system has 2 power supplies. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like it occurs during longer periods of inactive time?Try turning OFF all local Power Options, ie. screen saver, hibernation, standby, etc.Power fluctuations may also cause this behavior. Has the UPS been tested? See if the server will stay running when the UPS is unplugged from the wall for several seconds.
