Server 2008 running out memory but resource manager does not show any processes using it
Hi Stephen, I suggest we try restarting the server and test in Safe Mode to narrow down the cause of the problem. If the issue does not occur in Safe Mode, it can be related to third-party programs in the system. Also please scan the system to make sure that it is not infected by virus. Try this in safe mode and see the behaviour. Disable AV/background tasks/third party services and test. Make sure virtual memory limit is set correctly. Use Memory Pool Monitor (Poolmon.exe) to troubleshoot memory leaks - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/177415 Is this a virtual machine? Resource manager can give inaccurate numbers in VMs. If you are in Hyper-V I would suggest you user the Hyper-V related resource counters in the VM. If you are in VMware, use the VMware provided tools.MCP Card || LinkedIn
