Server 2008 r2 slow boot
Can anyone tell me why, on our hp blade servers bl465c G6, after installation of server 2008 R2 via smartstart. we have boot times of 25 to 35 mins. I have checked forums here and there and cant find anything relevant. other installations, server 2003 server 2008 do not have this problem only the R2 servers. Anyone have any Ideas? thanks Gary

Anything in Event Viewer? Have you checked Memory and other hardware? Maybe the problem is with one or more drivers? With kind regards Krystian Zieja http://www.projectnenvision.com Follow me on twitter My Blog

Hi, First of all, I would like to ask whether the computer is compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2. By the way, I have seen many issue cause by smartstart in this forum. I am not familiar with HP servers, so I don’t know whether you can install the system without smartstart, then we can isolate the cause the issue. Best Regards, Vincent Hu

Hello, this doesn't belong to SmartStart, we use the same way and it works. How is DNS configured in the domain(i assume)? Please post an unedited ipconfig /all from the DC/DNS server of the domain and the prroblem machine.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hi, If it’s doesn't belong to SmartStart, you may try to boot the computer into Safe Mode to see whether you get the same issue. Best Regards, Vincent Hu
