Server 2008 r2 restart itself
My server restart itself at 3 am event ID:2012 I would like to know. How to check it , Why it restart?

Hello, this is too less information, please post the complete event viewer error, for starting see: http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=2012&eventno=581&source=Srv&phase=1 http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=2012&eventno=3810&source=PerfOS&phase=1 Which server roles are installed and do you have a scheduled task run that is the source of the problem? Have you check any memory dump file generated in that time. meanwhile check any error in system log at that time.

Hi, disable auto restart when failed option and take a sleeping bag for look the beautiful blue screen early morning... ;) if it's a software problem. (config panel / system security / system / advanced system / startup and recovery / system failure / automaticly restart) what it the error in the blue screen ??? like M.Weber do you have task schedule ? or maybe an external hardware issue like power failure (switching between two electric generators etc...) Start menu / Accessories / System tools / Task scheduler > look at the bottom in the 'active task' if you have tasks schedule at 03am Did you able to connect the server in a another server room ? ...
