Had 2 issues - one that prevented me from booting at all (fixed now - replaced failing KVM). Now I can boot into safe mode and if I boot the server in standard mode, it appears to work fine (file server, sql server to multiple clients).  However, as soon as I try to log in, the server hangs and no services are available.

In Safe Mode, I ran sfc /scannow, chkdsk, and copied a bunch of recent events from the event log.  Nothing fixed the error, and I'm not seeing anything in the event log that jumped out at me.  I tried a couple of different profiles - both have the same issue.

The issue is the same whether it is local login or RDP.

Any thoughts on troubleshooting/next steps?
