Server 2008 SP2 only gets APIPA addresses
I have a server 2008 sp2 box that that in theory, should work just fine. After a whole lot of troubleshooting, it has fallen to the OS is the problem. (Having confirmed hardware and switches are not the issue) Not I am out of means to troubleshoot the matter, but the OS cannot connect it's nics to the network. They all get APIPA addresses, it can ping localhost, but it cannot reach the gateway. There are microsoft virtual sswitches also configured on the box, but I do not know how to manipulate them / ensure their configuration is appropriate. I'm terribly sorry for the lack on information. But any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated. -Aaron
