Server 2008 Remote Desktop security concern
Hi,I've noticed that if someone connects to a windows server 2008 machine using remote desktop for the first time they are presented with every username currently setup on that machine. (So if there are 20 users active, it will show 20 of those square boxes with the name underneath)To me, this seems like a security issue as the user doesn't even have to login to see every user on a particular server. Is there a way of stopping this from happening? Thanks,Martin

You can disable this default behavior by following the steps below: Logon the system with an administrator account. Type secpol.msc in the Start Search box, and press Enter. In the Local Security Policy window, navigate to Local Policies \ Security Options, double-click the policy Interactive Logon: Do not display last user name" and change the setting to Enable. Type gpupdate.exe in the Start Search and press Enter. This willapply the policy.
