Server 2008 R2 Standard New Install
We are a small company (less than 50 employees). We are replacing our 2003 SBS system with 2008 R2 Standard, with RDS and Exchange Server 2010. The big push is for RDS (Terminal Services). We want everyone who logs in (whether local or
remote) to see "their desktop and applications". The users are pretty limited in their abilities and we want them to be comfortable using their machines, regardless of where the log in from. The other BIG change is Exchange Server 2010 in place
of the POP3 Connector in SBS2003.
We don't run any strange programs, just Office 2010 and Outlook 2010.
This is our first foray into using RDS on a server (we did use Remote from SBS, but that required a PC per user if all were on at once.) This is also our first foray into the full-blown Exchange Server. So, now we want the server to run EVRYTHING
and just have the users login to the server and see "their desktops and applications".
I know it is not "preferred" to run all of these servers on one physical machine, but like I said, we are a small company and cannot afford to spend a ton of money on hardware.
We have purchased a Dell server with 16GB of RAM and Dual x5660 processors. I am told that should be plenty to run the configuration that we are planning on running.
So, on to the questions...
1. Is there a step-by-step guide to installing Server 2008 R2 Standard?
1a. This new server will be our WHOLE Domain. Any tips on setting up our Domain for internal and external access would be appreciated.
1a. We haven't run Certificates in the past, is there a good Step-by-Step explanation of setting up a Certificate server and creating Certificates for remote access? Or can we use the new system without them and just use "username and
password" authentication?
2. Is there a step-by-step guide to installing Exchange Server 2010 on Server 2008 R2 Standard (Keep in mind, we have not hosted our mail in the past, only POP connector to hosting site from SBS)?
3. Is there a step-by-step guide to installing RDS on Server 2008 R2 Standard?
3a. Is there a good step-by-step guide to setting up and configuring "desktops" in the RDS server, once the server has been installed (Again, most Remote Desktops will only included Office and Outlook)?
I am sure there will be plenty more questions, but I think this is a good start.
Thanks in advance for your help.

OK. Silly me for not being more specific. I am looking for a how-to on installing Server 2008 R2.
FULLY installing 2008 R2!!!!! I can install the basic system, it is setting up and configuring the roles that is giving me fits. This will be the only server on the entire network. I am assuming I need to setup several Roles for this to
work properly, i.e. Domain Controller, etc.

Any ideas on the Roles needed to be installed by the description above?
Step-by-step would be nice.
Does Microsoft offer support on a newly purchased Server Operating System?
