Server 2008 R2 Domain Upgrade
we have a mixed Server 2008 Forest, some of the domains are 2003 R2.
One of those domians is the one i control.
I just got permission to upgrade our DC to Server 2008 R2 instead of Server 2008.
My question is :
Does the Forest need to be upgraded (specifically the schema) with the ADprep from Server 2008 R2 before i can add Server 2008 R2 DC's?
I know the Forest and my Domain ran ADprep for Server 2008 but i was not sure about R2. Do we need to run ADPrep again for R2?

You would have to prep your forest/domain for 2008 R2.
Please have a look to this article, you will find all what you need for this migration.
