Server 2008 No boot after install
I recently installed Server 2008 R2 x64 on a Dell 1950 with SAS drives. After 2008 installs, reboots and starts for the first time. Windows does not start, the server checks all the devices etc and when it reaches the point to load the 2008 OS it doesn't. We remain with a black screen and blinking cursor. Any suggestions ?

Hi, Do you have a RAID on your computer and install the system on the RAID disk? If so, please install the system on a single disk to see whether you get the same issue. By the way, there isn’t a repair option in Windows Server 2008 R2 CD/DVD, you can use a Windows 7 installation CD/DVD to repair the startup. If the issue continues, please perform the above suggestion to have a test. In addition, please contact Dell to ensure that the server is compatible with Windows Server 2008. Thanks for your understanding. Best Regards, Vincent Hu
