I am not familiar with an Areca 1220 Raid, but if it is anything like the controller in the AMD sb700 southbridge, there is a problem with it. When Raid is enabled in the bios, there will be corruption.

Hello, Can you clean boot your computer and then try copying files ?? Listed below is the procedure for a clean boot. 3.1. Click Start->Run...->type msconfig and press Enter 3.2. Click Services tab and select Hide All Microsoft Services and Disable All third party Services. 3.3. Click Startup tab and Disable All startup items 3.4. Click OK and choose Restart 3.5. After reboot, check whether the problem still occurs If the issue doesn't occur under clean boot, it might be caused by some third-party services. You could test by enabling one of them and disabling the rest to find out which service causes the issue. Thanks and Hope it Helps Syed Khairuddin

Hi, If the issue persists after trying Clean Boot, please understand that to troubleshoot this kind of BSOD issue, we need to debug the crashed system dump. Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. A suggestion would be to contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via telephone so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist with your request. Please be advised that contacting phone support will be a charged call. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;OfferProPhone#faq607 I hope the problem will be resolved soon. Thank you for your time and cooperation! Tim Quan - MSFT
