Server 2003 x64 problems sending a file to email recipient via right-click
I have several terminal servers, some Server 2003R2 32 bit and some 64 bit. All have Office 2007 installed. Users on both types can open Outlook and create a new message, then attach or drag and drop files into the message. This works fine on both 32 and 64 bit versions. When browing the file system, a user can right-click on a file and choose SENT TO --> EMAIL RECIPIENT. In the 32 bit version of Server 2003, an Outlook message is composed and everything works fine. In the 64 bit version, an OUTLOOK EXPRESS setup wizard starts and the end user cannot send the message as Outlook is not recognized as the default email program. In add/remove programs on teh 64 bit server there is no option to set program defaults. Is anyone experiencing a similar issue and is there a known fix?

Hi Mark,
To troubleshoot the issue, would you please refer to the following steps to test?
Do you install Office 2003 on the problematic terminal server? if so, please remove Office 2003 Professional using Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility

Please set the Terminal Server into Install Mode and install Office 2003 from CD.
Once Office 2003 is installed, please check that if you click "Send to" -> "Mail Recipient" works correctly.
If the issue still continues, please consider initializing a new thread in Outlook General Discussion group. As the engineers and the community members can help you out in a more efficient way.
