Server 2003 SP2 End of Hotfixes?
When the Conficker virus came out Microsoft realeased hotfixes for server 2003 and 2008, but didn't release any for server 2000. So I am wondering at which date will microsoft stop releaseing Hotfixes for Server 2003?Thank you,Daniel Schmidt

Mainstream support (the support that includes non-security hotfixes) will end 12 or 24 months after a new service pack is released. Non-security hotfixes will also not be be released anymore at the moment that the mainstream support ends for the product. For Server 2003 no date for end of the mainstream support is known yet, so keep an eye on the Support Lifecycle for Windows Server 2003 . So by the date of 13/7/2010 , Windows Server 2003 is not supported anymore, in the mainstream support phase. At this point Microsoft will not release any non-security hotfixes anymore. There is a way to get non-security hotfixes at the time that the mainstream support ends. This requires a separate Extended Hotfix Support Agreement to be purchased (per-fix fees also apply) See for more information the Microsoft Support Lifecycle I hope this helpful.
