Server 2003 Not Getting On Internet
All of a sudden my server and all clients stopped being able to access the internet. I was able to use the dns of the ISP and get the clients connected to the internet, but not the server. Because of this I assumed that it was a dns issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled dns - same problem. I them checked the event viewer and found that I had two errors. The first was 4015 - DNS server encountered a critical from active directory. The second was 4521 - Encountered error 32 attempting to load the zone from active directory. No new hardware or software was installed. How can I correct this issue?

Hi Customer, Thanks for posting here. As you mentioned"I was able to use the dns of the ISP and get the clients connected to the internet, but not the server." It means your physical Internet connection is OK. Most likely this issue might be caused by the DNS server. First, Please check the DNS server's forwarder setting for internet by the steps: 1. Click Start, Point to Administrative Tools, and then click DNS. 2. Right-click ServerName, where ServerName is the name of the server, and then click the Forwarder tab. 3. Click All other DNS domains. 4. In the Selected domain's forwarder IP address box, type the IP address of the ISP DNS server to which you want to forward, and then click Add. 5. Repeat step 4 to add the DNS servers to which you want to forward. 6. Click OK. If the issue continues, please also collect the following information for further research: 1. DNS information in the DNS server:1) Please install the Dnscmd.exe program from the Windows Server 2003 Support Tools on a DC/DNS server in the DNS server.2) Run the following commands on the server:Dnscmd /info >c:\dnsinfo.txtDnscmd /enumzones >c:\zoneinfo.txtdnscmd /ZoneExport FQDNofDomain domain_export.txt 2. MPSReport on the problematic DNS server:1) Download the executable file from the following URLhttp://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd915706/MPSRPT_DirSvc.EXE2) Run the file on the computer. After the tool finishes gathering the information, copy the cab file from the following folder:C:\WINDOWS\MPSReports\DirSvc\cab 3. Please zip the file and use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the file, then give us the download address.
