Server 2003 Member Server Upgrade to Member Server 2008
Hello,
if the Windows server 2003 is 64bit then you coiuld do an inplace upgrade, if 32bit then NOT. I suggest to use the FSMT in your case and install a fresh server.

We already have migrated our DCs to Server 2008 R2. We are now ready to migrate our member servers from 2003 R2 to 2008 R2. These Servers act as File Servers and a couple Print Servers. What are the steps to follow to complete this process?
Is it just a simple as "put the disk in and run the upgrade"?
All our schemas have been upgrade to 2008 already and adprep/rodprep steps were performed when DCs were migrated.

Sorry for the lack of information.
We are attempting to move from Windows Server 2003 Standard (32 bit) TO Windows Server 2008 Standard R2 (64 bit)...
I was not clear on 32 to 64 upgrades. We are talking approx. 12 Servers within our Domain. Our 3 DCs are 2008 (64), as well as, new servers that have been added. But we are concerned with Microsoft stopping support for Server 2003 this summer.
