Dave, Thank you for your reply and links. It gave me enough motivation to try the installation again. The downgrade from Server 2003 Enterprise to Server 2003 Std R2 w/ SP2 was a success, using the Dell Server 2003 Std R2 w/ SP2 installation disc. As a matter of fact, I wasn't even prompted for the key. How cool is all that? Thanks again! Andrew

Hello everybody, We have a Dell PowerEdge 2600 server with the COA sticker on the side panel. We do not have the original installation CD that came with the server. When I tried using a non-OEM Server 2003 Enterprise CD, I was presented with an "Invalid Key" error during the installation, using the COA Server 2003 Enterprise key. I contacted Dell for an OEM CD, and they said they do not carry those anymore, and directed me to call Microsoft. So...I called Microsoft and while they verified my key was legit, directed me back to Dell for assistance. Dell again said they couldn't help me, and directed me back to Microsoft, and I've been redirected and disconnected four times now from Microsoft phone support. At this point I've given up on both Dell and Microsoft phone support and seeking other avenues. With that said, we do have a Dell OEM Server 2003 R2 Standard w/ SP2 CD. My question is, can I downgrade to Server 2003 R2 Standard w/ SP2 using our Server 2003 Enterprise key. Any advice or suggestions appreciated.
