Try this:http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/under english, windows servers, servers. I'm not quite sure what's going on with the forums right now, stuff seems to be all over the place.

Thathttp://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/will of course lead him to the Windows Server 2003 *newsgroups* rather than to the forums. As far as I can see there aren't yet (?) any *forums* for Windows Server 2003.

From a perspective of one who would like to ask a question and receive an answer from the community (which is what most of us use these things for), this is a distinction without a difference, surely?I am certainly open to education as to what a forum is offering to me over and above a newsgroup, bar interface differences? Of course, what I would really like, as a Microsoft outsider, is somebody to explain what's going on with all this. I see Technet forums which contain the latest whizzy-bang products along with such phrases as "user experience" etc (arrgh!), but to get to the products that most of us use day by day I have to go search to find what I'm looking for, which is why I ended up at the newsgroups. I'm thinking that perhaps the newsgroups are the older style format that will be movingto the newer forums. Alternatively, perhaps this is a marketing strategy to make support for the older products less accessable?
