Server
Hi Im trying to rebuild a server and I will buy one 1TB drive (in total I will have three 1TB drives). If I reconfigure my RAID settings to RAID 5, will I have 3TB logical drive?? I am aware that when I add a new 1TB and reconfigure my RAID settings I will have to rebuild my server again. So I will make sure I make a full backup image to my server. BUT, will I get an identical server (apart from the increased logical disk space) - I mean the Windows Server 2008 R2 OS and its configuration (DNS, DHCP, etccc) as well as all my data after I restore the FULL-BACKUP-IMAGE?

You will loose like 1 disk for the raid5 parity. 2TB in a raid5 (http://www.ibeast.com/content/tools/RaidCalc/RaidCalc.asp) For the backup, if it's a DC you really need a full system-state backup.
