Sending Error Reports
All of a sudden 4 weeks ago, while playing 'online games' and 'conducting surveys' an error reporting block pops up several times during the day. Whether I click 'send' or 'don't send' I'm taken away from the page I am working on. Annoying. It would state: 'Internet Explorer encountered a problem and need to close -- Send Error Report or Don't Send'. I have Windows XP, 32 bit, 3 pack. IE-8 is not in the 'add/remove program list' after I downloaded it once this week and once last week. Please Advise == Thank YouPatricia Chartier

First of all, this forum is dedicated to Microsoft Server operating systems and to IT-Pros, so, since your question seems to be related to some end-user issue and to Internet Explorer, my suggestion is to try asking the same question on the answer forums where you'll probably obtain better help and guidance That said; my suggestion is to download the "Microsoft System Sweeper", proceed creating the boot CD and then use it to boot and scan your system (read the instructions and follow the program directions) so that you'll ensure your system is clean from malware; once completed the scan/clean and in case the issue didn't disappear, you may try resetting IE to default settings by following this KB article; if that won't work either, please try the answers forums for further guidance

1. See and follow: "How to Reset Internet Explorer settings". If still no joy... 1. Please download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner tool (freeware). 2. Reboot your PC. 3. Please download, update and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free 4. Reboot and Test. Regards,Vincenzo Di Russo Microsoft MVP Windows Internet Explorer, Windows & Security Expert - since 2003.
