I am stuck in an automatic update loop in regards to KB2518295 security update. I recieve the error code of 0x8007F0F4 and the installation of the update fails. This is a new installation of the operating system. Windows server 2003 standard R2 64bit.

Bruce, I have symantec end point protection installed and have ran malwarebytes on the server to no avail. This is a new install of the operating system on this server. Currently the server is a backup and has no network role. My concern is a security update that will not install on this server but has installed on my 7 other 2003 server standard r2. I cannot get free support since it is on a server. The update log refers to registry values not being at the values needed to install the update. I am not one to go digging around the registry without guidence.Lyman L Decker Jr
