Security Patches (KB) Report for Window Server 2008 x64 / w2k8 R2 x64
Hi,
Currently, I am using HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\HotFix to generate the security patch registry txt report by
%windir%\regedit.exe in Windows Server 2003.
For Windows Server 2008 x64 and Windows Server 2008 R2 x64, seems that the above registry path no longer valid. Any registry key can reflect the installed security patches in w2k8?
Or any installer function can list the installed patch update (same list in Control Panel => Programs and Features => View installed updates)?
Now, I am using MsiGetProductInfo installer function to get the installed program list.

Hi,
You can use the free MBSA tool to scan the system and get the installed updates list:
Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/cc184924.aspx
Meanwhile, here is also a vbscript which will generate an InstalledUpdates.htm file that lists all the installed updates:
Listing all installed updates

Hope it helps.
