Securing an environment from SAMinside.exe
Hi everyone, Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I will anyway since it does affect Longhorn too. We have students that have downloaded SAMinside.exe from the net that is allowing them to retrieve the SAM database, decrypt the passwords and take free reign of our domain. Is there anyway to stop this??

I have an answer ;). You can use the syskey utility to secure the Windows Security Accounts Manager(SAM) database. You can download this syskey utility here: Syskey Certifications: MCSA 2003 MCSE 2003 Studying for MCTIP:EA&SA
