Does anyone know if there are any issues with adding a second processor on Windows 2008\Windows 2008 Server R2 after the fact? The server is already in production and we would like to avoid rebuilding it. I found information on other forums stating that it isn't an issue, but I didn't find the information convincing because it wasn't definitive. Mark

Windows 2008 and 2008 R2 should detect the second processor automatically and nothing bad should happen. But please make sure you have a backup.
