Hello Friends, I am facing a search issue with SP'13 list. In the search item box (list level), it cannot detect the item within the list; but in the 'search in the entire site box', it can detect the item within the list. Though on clicking on the item from the site search results, take me back to the list rather going inside the item. And the worst is it is not detecting any item from List level search.

FYI, The item name is having '-'. So after reading some blogs, I tried to exclude the 'hyphen' from the item name, but nothing worked. Checked with all the settings. Still in dark :(

As your description, the list search returned no result when you searched. Is it right?

I am wondering if other lists or libraries have this issue.

Please open the list, and go to List Settings->Advanced settings, make sure you select Yes under "Allow items from this list to appear in search results?".

Then click Reindex List to reindex the list.

After the above, go to Central Administration, do a full crawl for your content source in search service application.

After crawling, test again.
