Script to start Server Service whenever server reboots
hello
I am using Windows Server 2003 R2 , When ever i reboot server all the shares on the shared folders get removed.
I want a script to start server service automatically whenever server is rebooted.
please guide me

You can use a startup script:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc779329(WS.10).aspx
If you are manually mapping this share, make sure to use automatically reconnect option.

What's in the event log? This isn't normal.

Hi Santhosh,
okay, at this location we can set a script which will be run on the start up of the system. But what would be the script that we need to add here? Can you please throw some light on what should I write in a script file in order to turn "Server"
service on.
Some where else, i found following command:
net start server
but when i configure it to run
on start up, it actually gives following error:
System
error 1058 has occurred.
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.
Can you help me in this.

Is File and Printer Sharing bound to the connection? What is in the system event log?
