SYSVOL - 2008R2-SP1
On a government system, when applying some GPO's that set certain settings to comply with DISA STIG's, the Domain controller loses it connection to it's own SYSVOL. What conditions cause this behavior? W. Randle

Hi, Please refer to the following articles to troubleshoot this problem: Troubleshooting missing SYSVOL and NETLOGON shares on Windows domain controllers http://support.microsoft.com/kb/257338 How to rebuild the SYSVOL tree and its content in a domain http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315457 If the problem continues, please provide more information: 1. What settings have you configured in the GPO? 2. How did you find the DC lost connection to SYSVOL 3. Is there any relevant error in the event log? Meanwhile, as it’s a government system, if it’s too sensitive to provide these information on a public forum, it’s suggested to contact Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) so that a dedicated Support Professional can help you on this issue. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;PHONENUMBERS If you are outside the US please see http://support.microsoft.com for regional support phone numbers. Hope this helps. Regards, Bruce
