STOP CODE 0x0000007B (0xF789E63C, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) when installing a dual boot Windows SBS 2003.
Hi Im trying to install a dual boot Win SBS 2003 (1st partition has WinXP Pro (OEM Dell)). When it gets to the "starting Windows" stage, it gives me a BSOD with a stop error "stop: 0x0000007B (0xF789E63C, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)".
I have reformatted the 2nd partition and then run chkdsk /f /v on all partitions. This came up clean.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
Regards
Ian

If your drive controller is not natively supported then you'll want to boot the Windows installation media. Then *F6* very early and very important (at setup is inspecting your system) in the setup to prevent drive controller detection, and select S to specify
additional drivers. Then later you'll be prompted to insert the manufacturer supplied Windows driver for your drive controller in drive "A"
Probably the files named oemsetup.inf, txtsetup.oem, and the *.sys file for your disk controller
