SSRS repors are not working in IE11

Dear All,

We had migrated the SSRS reports from 2008 R2 to SSRS 2012 SP2 version. We had a strange issues after migration.
The report which is having images is not working and it just hangs.
The reports which doesn't have any images are working fine.

On top of it some times we are getting the following error message.

Error message :
The request failed with HTTP status 503: Server Error.
Would you please help us to fix this issue.

Thank you
Sri

Hi Sri,

Regarding the first issue, the report which contains images is not working and it just hangs after migrating to SSRS 2012 SP2. We would like to know if the images are not able to display? Would you please open the migrated report which contains images in SSDT to upgrade the report, check if images can display in SSDT. When the report is working fine in SSDT, then you can deploy the report to report server. If issue persists, please provide more information about how the report is not working and hangs.

Regarding the second issue, sometimes HTTP status 503 is throwing out. The issue can be caused by that the report server is under high memory pressure. Please refer to this article: Troubleshooting HTTP Errors. Also the issue can be caused by the reporting services is not running, or the TCP port used by report server is occupied by other resources. Please refer to this similar thread: The request failed with HTTP status 503: Service Unavailable.

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

Best regards,
Qiuyun Yu

Hi Qiuyun Yu, and Milan

Thank you for the response.

I found the problem is happening with indicators. We are using the logic to show the indicators if we remove that the report is working fine.

I tried the reports after rebuilt the reports but still no luck.

The same reports are working before the migration from SSRS 2008 to SSRS 2012 reporting services.

Would you please shed some light on this issue.

Thank you

Sri

Hi Sri,

Would you please create a simple report which contains the indicators in SSRS 2012 then deploy the report to report server? Check if it comes the same issue as the migrated report.

If the same issue occur for this report, please perform the repair operation for SQL Server. You can launch the SQL Server setup.exe, then choose Repair on Maintenance tab.

If not, please open the migrated in SSRS 2012 report server via click-once report builder, run the report to check if indicators can display.

Best regards,
Qiuyun Yu
