Hai,I am getting this error when I am installing sql server 2014 express edition,it was asking me  u donot have any sqlserver 2008 clr type files,when I installed those clr type files ,I am getting the same error,is there any way to get out of this error,can any body please provide me a solution,i am using a dual boot  windows 7 service pack 1 and unbutu 14.04 operating systems, as my operating system.

Hi rajdhi,

As other post, please post the full error message for analysis.

From your description, you still get same error after installing CLR type files. Please ensure that you have installed the right version of  CLR types.

If you are using 64-bit version operating system, please choose the x64\SQLSysClrTypes.msi package to install, howerver, if you are using 32-bit version operating system, please choose the x86\SQLSysClrTypes.msi package to install.

these two sites sql server clr types are same ,is there any difference in both these two types of files
