I am trying to install SCOM 2012 R2 Reporting. I have SSRS deployed and SQL Server, on seperate servers.

When I reach the SQL Server for SSRS stage however, there is nothing in the drop down to select a SQL Server?

My problem is the same as the link below, but the fix is not applicable to my environment:

Are you install SCOM Reporting on SQL server with SSRS installed?

Hi Guys

The topology is like this:

Managemement Server 1
Management Server 2
SCOM Web Server
SSRS
SQL Server hosting SSRS (seperate to the SQL Server hosting the SCOM db's)
SCOM Reporting Server (where I get the error)

Everything is seperate servers (VM's). I went through the config wixard for SSRS yep, is there anything specific to do there?

Where is SQL RS installed? I'm guessing on MS2 and using databases created on SQL Server?

If so, run Reporting Setup on Management Server 2.

When you say run "reporting setup" on Management Server 2, is this the SCOM reporting application or SSRS itself?

Yes. You install SSRS on the MS and then run through the SQL Server reporting services configuration wizard to create the SQL RS databases on the SQL Server hosting the DW database.

So the install order is

MS
SSRS
OM Reporting

All on the same server? (Ideally I'd like to seperate everything out)

It depends .... it isn't clear what you want. One option is:

Server 1: Management Server + Web Console + Console + Reporting Server

Server 2: Management Server + Console

Server 3: OperationsManager database

Server 4: OperationsManager datawarehouse

In which case, install SQL DB Engine \ Full Text Search on Server 3 and 4.

Install SQL RS on Server 1 and run the SQL Reporting Services configuration wizard to create the Reporting Services databases on Server 4.

Then run SCOM install on Server 1 and install all components.

Then move on to server 2 and just install MS + Console.

It really depends what you want \ need in terms of resilience and scalability.
