SQL Server Installation Error - The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

The following error is getting displayed when I try to install the SQL Server R2 Express

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'sql_common_core.msi in the box below :

Second warning message : Your SQL server 2008 R2 installation completed with failures.

Please help needed.

Hello Pat,

You have to copy the installer to a local disk and run it from there.
