SQL Server 2014 Failing to install in a cluster

Dear All,

When we are attempting to install SQL Server 2014 on a one node cluster, we are getting the following error. We know it storage related we just don't know what and why :P

Could you provide some information about your environment?  What type of storage is being used for storing the SQL data?  SMB? iSCSI? etc.?  When does the error occur?

Hi ,

It seems is the known issue on 2012R2 based cluster, please install the following update then monitor the issue again.

CPrepSrv.exe process crashes or Failover Cluster Manager freezes when you validate storage in Windows Server 2012 R2
