In general SQL Enerprise requires Server Enterpise, SQL Datacenter requires Server Datacenter. If you have Server datacenter you can install any version of SQL, datacenter, enterprise, standard, express, etc. If you have Server Enterprise you can install any version of SQL except SQL datacenter.

If you have Server 2003 Enterprise you can install any version of SQL 2005/2000/7 except SQL 2005/2000/7 datacenter.
