SQL 2008, Dynamics and Server 2008
Okay, I'm going to need the really big brains on this one. Here's the scenario. SQL 2008 running on a dedicated server running Server 2008 64 bit. Host Machine running Server 2008 64 bit with a virtual client (Hyper-V) running Server 2008 32 bit. Business Portal (Dynamics web serving feature) running on said client. Business Portal is unable to connect to the SQL database. Integration partner says it's not a Dynamics issue or a SQL issue, it's a Windows Networking configuration issue. His recommendation is to load up a server running 2003 and run Business Portal from that. That solution is unacceptable. Please recommend any and all possible network configuration details to allow this communication to take place. Thanks a million, everyone. This is a brilliant community. As much as I'd like to specify a forum below, this crosses too many boundaries.
