SOLUTION FOR SQL SERVER AVAILABILITY

Hello Team,

Good Morning.

I have an MS SQL Server 2008 Enterprise edition running on premise as a back end to home grown application. I have got the requirement from management now. The application should be available for the users who are working from out of the office. Management is looking to host this application on Azure. Data should be in sync between the application running ind Azure and on premise. Has very limited bandwidth hence directed us to host both database and application in Azure and at the same time database should be in sync with on premise database.

Please help me to architect this solution.

Thanks,

Chandra.

Hi Chandra,

Currently, there's no option for syncing the data between 'SQL Databases' and your on premise SQL Server databases.

You can use log shipping/mirroring/Always-On by creating a suitable Virtual network between your on premise SQL Server and 'Azure VM - SQL'.
