It is easy to find plenty of info on SMTP tar pit for Windows 2003 with SP1, but there doesn't seem to be anything about this for Windows 2008. Does it work the same as in Windows 2003 or is it gone now? Thanks

Hi, it still works on Windows server 2008 as it does on Windows server 2003. The only consideration is that in order to set the registry key you have to explicitly change ownership rights from System to Administrator, else you cant set it.
