SMB2 & Compresion
I thought I recalled a PDC session where it was stated that if two SMB2 compters were connected, a file transfer of a compressed file would be transfered in a compressed stream. My testing shows this does not happen. Was this a pre-release design that was dropped from the final specs?tomc

Hi, Thanks for the post. From your description, my understanding is the compressed file with the file size 1MB cannot be transferred in 1MB data stream between two SMBv2 machines. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong. Now I would like to confirm the exact OS version. As this issue is more related to developing, you could also post a new thread to our MSDN Forum for further assistance: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/categories Hope this helps.
