SFTP port and BAM

I'm using SFTP to receive various types of files and a FILE send port with Pass Through Pipeline to save the file.

BAM does not appear to work with Pass Through Pipelines and the SFTP.bts_sftp_properties context.

I want to capture the ReceivedFileName.

I can create an assembly in SQL Server and get to the ReceivedFileName in the tracking database, but I'd prefer to use BAM.

Any ideas? Thanks, Paul

Hi,

We had the same issue with SFTP pass through receive pipeline not capturing the file name. One of my colleague confirmed that it has been fixed with latest cumulative update (CU1) for BizTalk 2013 R2.

Here is the link to CU1. Please install it and test the file name

Hi,

You can log a call to MS for the issue.

Thanks

Hi ,

You are pointing to MSDN artcile Planning for the BAM Portal .

It states that  Pass-through pipelines do not evaluate the message types of the incoming message .The Microsoft.BizTalk.DefaultPipelines.Passthrough pipeline does not contain the XML disassembler. and thus it does not  get the message type.

Now as the tracking profile is depended to a port and messagetype, attempting to track message payload data for a pass-through pipeline does not succeed

I would suggest better to try with xmlreceive pipeline with CU1 update for Biztalk 2013 R2

Thanks

Abhishek

No need to log a call with Microsoft when the answer is specified already.

Please mark it as answer.
