SCSM 2012 R2 UR6 SCCM Connector stuck at 67% after applying patch

Hi

I'm having a problem with the SCCM connector after upgrading to UR6. I have applied the supplementary patch to the primary management server as indicated with the KB article for UR6 (http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3039363) however the connector is still stuck at 67% and produces the same error message as indicated on connect (https://connect.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/feedback/details/1303313/sccm-connector-fails-to-finish-synchronization-after-applying-ur6).

I have restarted the server after installation and still the same issue is present. I also cannot find any record of the patch being installed apart from the last modified dates of the core SCSM management packs.

Any one have any ideas if the SCSM2012R2_OD_KB3064088_AMD64_7.5.3079.402.exe patch does indeed fix the problem?

Thanks

Hi,

you have to make sure that the files from UR6 have been installed successfully. It should appear as:

Hotfix for Microsoft System Center Service Manager (KB3039363)

I have UR6 installed, but could not see SCSM2012R2_OD_KB3064088_AMD64_7.5.3079.402.exe in the list of the installed updates. And as far as I see this update is in regards to the AD connector (disable AD connector, install update, enable AD connector).

What does the Operations Manager log on the Mgmt Server say? The connector is logging pretty much everything, so you can get more information from the events.

Have you tried re-creating the connector? It helps on rare occasions.

UR6 is successfully installed. The Connect link I posted shows that UR6 causes an issue with the SCCM connector and the error message generated. The connect post was marked as resolved and the post here (http://blogs.technet.com/b/servicemanager/archive/2015/04/28/update-rollup-6-for-system-center-2012-r2-operations-manager-is-now-available.aspx) says that the SCCM connector issue was resolved with the SCSM2012R2_OD_KB3064088_AMD64_7.5.3079.402.exe patch.

I shouldn't have to recreate the connector for over 2000 machines for something which was supposedly fixed as this will cause us other issues if we have to recreate the connector.

Hi,

I was not able to open the MS Connect site (Page not found). You might consider opening a support case with MS if the issue isn't solved with the update, although it is meant to.

I've seen this same issue, and the 67% (or there abouts) and it's really environment specific on what causes this.  I believe UR6 addresses this in some cases (although UR6 is really more of a connector optimizer patch).  Have you tried restarting the connector?  That doesn't always help, but I have seen it where the connector appears to "knock itself unconscious" but a "Synchronize Now" will pick up where it left off and complete.

Tried using sync now but fails with the same error each time at 67%.

How do you restart the connector? Not something I've come across before.

Thanks
